Paying attention to the cohesive whole.
Whenever players and coaches are asked about how they won a close game, they nearly always say how they connected as a cohesive whole. Yet, little attention is given to training the ability to sustain a cohesive whole.
_______________
To avoid limiting performance to simply trying harder to execute the parts, we should set aside time to train the ability to sustain a cohesive whole. To recall the childlike joy of connecting as a whole without an algorithm directing us. Connect to experience something greater than the sum of the parts. To embody Gestalt. Experience what is beautiful, true, and good. To embody the full human experience.
________________________
We build an awareness of the whole from seeing the connections between all parts. We shape this whole, so new opportunities emerge as current ones dwindle. Two of the most effective activities for training this are basketball and swimming.

About the event
Regardless of your ability to play, come and play basketball to step outside of your machine-mindedness and be present in Wowness.
As players accumulate practical experience, their decision-making abilities, become rooted in a deeper understanding of the relationships, connections, and the living web between what they once perceived as static LEGO-like pieces to assemble into a machine. We see the space and timing to be present in Wowness. These are the skills that enable humans to thrive in an AI-driven world. The skills to play for Wow moments.
There's is no requirement to be athletic or proficient in basketball. It’s 16 to 60+ who want to acquire skills that contrast with those performed by AI.
@6 - 7pm Loreto College (St Albans)
