In sports and in life, CONNECTION is as important as everything else put together.
The Gestalt describes how meaningful connections create something greater than the sum of the parts.
Gestalt necessitates a grasp of how all parts are separate, different, and interconnected. It involves effectively communicating to everyone involved that you are making a change to one specific element. Next, practice patience and a sense of inner calmness as you see the impact of this alteration on the other connections. Once you've observed the effects, move on to adjust another element, and keep this process going. Through these evolving connections, something greater than the sum of the parts comes to fruition.
But ...
It has become incredibly simple to connect by aligning our thinking to those we understand the most and reject those we don’t. This can reduce the degrees of separation between those we connect to, to the point we become one. The conditions for Gestalt are no longer present. Common understanding, not creating becomes the reason to connect. We provide experiences that challenge this trend, allowing you to tap a Gestalt of connection.

We stop conversations to align our thinking by building a table-top web of connections using cup trees and wool. We talk about how to change these connections to have conversations that create the possibility of something greater than the sum of our individual contributions.
