No one, not even LeBron James, can occupy two places at the same time. By being on the court, in a pool, etc, regardless of your skill level, you offer a unique perspective. The more perspectives, the easier it is for us all to experience collective solutions that are more than an assembly of perfected people.
If you’ve been playing/swimming/ etc the same way for years, it's likely that you are confined to a singular perspective. Remember, there are always many perspectives. Always different ways to improve.

About the event
Our format sits between 3x3 and conventional play.
It is 5x5 on a half-court, and after each change of possession, the ball must go over the halfway line.
Teams are between 5 and 7 players. No team coach.
The team that scores keeps the ball and resets at the halfway line. This ensures offence always has to find ways past a set defence.
No zone defence. This encourages clever, holistic, adaptive help defence. A point and possession is awarded for cleanly denying a shot.
24-second shot clock.
