Players learn to take action

To have the good judgment to know when to do as planned and when to be agile. To be agile by building unplanned sequences of bite-sized actions. To take a bite-sized action that gets a result, good or bad doesn’t matter which, then think on our feet, adapt, and take the next bite-sized action. To work in agile teams by adapting our bite-sized actions to add value to our teammates. To build a movement for change by copying the bite-sized actions of others.

Players learn to get results

To see that success and failure is temporary. What matters is discovering what is next. To be energised by disruption. See opportunity in not knowing what is going to happen. To use failure to fuel a desire to take responsibility and rise to a challenge. To grow by discovering what we didn’t know we could do. To always ask ourselves ... what is next?

Players learn to live well with risk

To enjoy making decisions in the moment. Doing things at pace and with confidence. To safely think on our feet to correctly act when things go wrong. To try something that we are not sure will work when the potential good consequences out-way the potential bad consequences. To keep reflecting. To stop doing what is not working. Perfect what works for as long as it works.

WE REBEL AGAINST THE CONVENTION OF RESPONDING TO UNCERTAINTY
BY CREATING
CERTAINTY

We REBEL by not shrinking our lives to restore certainty. By embracing uncertainty to grow. Taking action before we have certainty. By acting with only a rough idea of what will happen, thinking on our feet, adapting as we go.

We REBEL by seeing opportunity in not knowing what is going to happen. Energised by disruption.

We REBEL by feeling alive as we discover what we didn't know we could do.

The purpose of the dance is not to end. If that was true we would only watch the closing few seconds. The purpose of the dance is the dance. The purpose of life is life. To live. To be alive. To embrace uncertainty. To grow in uncertainty. Some of us need to go full steam ahead into uncertainty. But the lockdown stops us doing the very thing that could save us. If we all shrink into ourselves to get a sense of certainty we will make the situation worse. We need to let those who want to embrace uncertainty... dance.

WE GIVE EVERYONE AN EXPERIENCE OF TRYING SOMETHING WITH ONLY A ROUGH IDEA OF WHAT WILL HAPPEN

Agile coaches help EVERYONE take a bite-sized action that gets a result, to reflect on the result, think on their feet, adapt and act again and discover what they didn’t know they could do.

As EVERYONE grows their confidence in their ability to think on their feet and adapt as they go ... EVERYONE becomes more curious and less fearful of uncertainty. 

As EVERYONE starts to let go of a need for certainty there is less stress when things don’t go as expected. EVERYONE adapts as they go.

EVERYONE stops seeing problems as things not going to plan. EVERYONE stops seeing solutions as ways to get back on plan. Problems become puzzles to be solved by thinking on our feet and adapting as we go.

EVERYONE stops worrying about not being good enough. EVERYONE embraces the joy of life, with all its uncertainty, knowing they will be good enough.
